Book Review: Queen Of Hearts

Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oakes. I really enjoyed this book, although the plot was a bit bland, I found the characters really interesting. The King of Hearts pretty confusing though. One minute he was proud of Dinah and the next he hated her for no reason. Like I said,  confusing. I think the setting was just right, in Splintered the setting was wild maybe a bit too wild, but in this book it had the classic madness and darkness of Wonderland as well as a sense of calm. I think you either love this book or you'll hate it, so give it a read and see what you think. Princess Dinah, the future Queen of Hearts, has always craved her father's, The King of Hearts, attention and approval. She dreams of being Queen, but when her father announces he has found his long lost daughter, her sister,
the beautiful Vittiore, Dinah is outraged. She never got her father's love so easily and the confusing betrayal breaks her heart. She and Warderly, the boy she loves, try to piece together the puzzle behind her father's hatred but Dinah has many enemies in the Castle of Hearts and she must stay one step ahead of them otherwise she might just lose her crown and her head.

This was an enjoyable read and I would recommend it for girls aged 14+ as it has violence, themes and minor language .
