Book Review: Splintered

Splintered by A. G. Howard. Splintered is the perfect book if your a fan of Alice in Wonderland it is a dark and eerie version of Lewis Carroll's original masterpiece. Alyssa Gardner is a 16 year old girl who hears the thoughts of plants and animals around her. She lives a troubled life as her mother is in a mental institution. Madness has been in her blood ever since her great-great-great-grandmother, Alice Liddell, travelled down the rabbit hole and recounted her adventures to Lewis Carroll inspiring his classic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland .To break the Liddell curse of madness Alyssa must journey down the rabbit hole and right her ancestors wrongs with her crush Jebediah and is torn between him and the mysterious and dark Morpheus. How far will she go to save her family and break the curse?

This is a gripping book. I started reading and only put it down to eat and sleep. I recommend it for 14+ as it has some violence and themes but overall an epic read.
