Book Review: The Ruby Airship

The Ruby Airship by Sharon Gosling. The Ruby Airship is second book in the Diamond Thief series (the first book is The Diamond Thief) and it is my favorite in that series. I was really pleased there was a sequel to The Diamond Thief. Remy has left her past behind and is working a job at a theatre on the trapeze when her childhood friend and magician, Yannick, turns up out of the blue and moves in with her and J. Meanwhile Thaddeus is investigating a robbery that seems to have happened by "magic" and finds Yannick's sudden appearance suspicious. Remy's heart is torn between her childhood friend and the loyal detective. When Yannick finally persuades her to run off to France with him,  Thaddeus is determined to win her back and starts off with J on a perilous journey by airship. But back in France something strange is going on.   

I really loved this book and I recommend this story for ages 10+ as there ,yet again, many detailed explanations of machines. It has some violence. An excellent  book.
