The Diamond Thief by Sharon Gosling. The Diamond Thief is a great, action-packed book about 16-year old trapeze artist Remy Brunel who has a secret life as a jewel thief, who hunts the backstreets of Victorian London for valuable jewels and is never caught. When she is forced to steal one of the most valuable diamonds in the world it means going undercover at Queen Victoria's Long Hall where she is finally found out by the young detective Thaddeus Rec who is determined to catch her. Remy goes into hiding and Rec is on her trail. When Remy is finally caught by Thaddeus the two unwillingly team up with J, a homeless young boy, to solve the mystery. But has the hate between Thaddeus and Remy transformed into a stronger emotion...
I really enjoyed this book and it's on my favourites list.I recommend this story for ages 10+ as younger kids might not understand the explanations of the machines, it has minimal violence. A good book.
