Book Review: Ensnared

Ensnared by A .G. Howard is the third book in the Splintered series (Book 1 Splintered and Book 2 Unhinged) I think this book has the most amazing cover, when I pulled it off the shelf, it dazzled me. Best cover in the series. It was quite irritating how Alyssa was trying to please Jeb the Jerk the whole book. Morpheus was cunning and Jeb was, yet again, aggravating (a note to the author: if you are planning on writing another book, kill Jeb off). The whole "Jeb" situation was a lot better as he was off fighting hooligans for half the book. I do think there was a bit too much romance which made the plot seem weak. It was enjoyable to read though. Alyssa, after surviving the epic battle at her prom, has embraced her madness and has been committed into the same asylum that her mother once was. She finally has decided to remind her father of his past, narrowly escaping being the child of dreams for Sister 2. She and her father then set off to rescue Morpheus and Jeb from AnyElsewhere, the looking glass world full of violent and mutated outcasts. But Jeb isn't the same person he once was, and now that the rabbit hole is closed it is time for Alyssa and Red's final battle, but Red isn't going to give up all of her power without a fight.

This was a good book. I would recommend it for girls 14+. It contains violence, minor swearing and themes. An entertaining book.
